Part 5: Useful Features with Clip Studio Paint and Wacom Intuos

Wacom teamed up with Celsys to give you an insider's view of manga comic creation from start to finish in a 5 part video tutorial series. These videos are great for beginners who need help getting started, but the tutorial also works for more advanced artist who want to improve their comic drawing skills.

At last, the final part of this series – part 5! In this part, Caterina Rocchi - owner of Lucca Manga School in Italy will give you some tips and tricks on using the program Clip Studio Paint for creating illustrations in different ways, from using 3D models, to vector layers, to the various tools that can be used to help speed up your workflow.

So, let´s create a comic!

Caterina demonstrates how to ink an illustration in preparation for printing in monochrome. She also covers important things to be aware of like crop marks and basic expression color of a document.

1) How to import 

This video will show how to import traditional drawings and extract lines.



2) Various rulers

In this lesson, Caterina shows how to find and use the various ruler tools in Clip Studio paint.



3) 3D figures

This part demonstrates how to draw a sketch using a 3D model.

In this video Caterina explains how to use the Vector layer to edit image lines.

This lesson explains how to use materials from Clip Studio Assets.
